Is this for me?

Absolutely! Pilates is excellent for everyone. We can all benefit from stronger bodies that are well balanced, stable and supple, not to mention less stressed with all the deep breathing that is done during a class.

It is not necessary to be fit to begin this new life style. All that is required is enthusiasm, dedication to the technique and a lot of mind control, i.e. concentration. Hence the expression 'mind-body form of training'.

Pilates teaches a set of principles that we apply to movements. It is not about how many repetitions you can do and how much you can 'burn' during a workout, but how well you can move. Quality takes precedence over quantity.

Take a look at what some of our clients have had to say about what Pilates has done for them in the testimonial section.

"For me, Pilates is not just therapeutic, but is good for my body in a few ways. I have been going to the chiropractor every five weeks or so for the last 19 years. I started doing Pilates to work on my core muscles, posture and general flexibility, to help the minor scoliosis and my weak back. My instructor does not only give me a general Pilates workout, but focuses on my personal weaknesses. I can feel the difference in my body and religiously keep up the classes since 2006."
